The firefighting personnel and mechanisms of the General Authority for Management and Development of Al-Ghab put out this evening a fire that broke out in one of the wheat fields in the village of Al-Rasif, which later spread to the Al-Aziziya and Al-Tamanah fields and the outskirts of Al-Ghab in the Al-Ghab area in the western Hama countryside.

Bassam Ali, the owner of one of the fields affected by the fire, indicated that he devoured large areas of his field planted with the black seed crop and the neighboring fields and agricultural lands without knowing or specifying the reason behind its outbreak.
Abdul Qader, another victim of the fire, said that the fire came from the west and destroyed the wheat crop on his land and a warehouse of straw, and it is likely that the areas of the lands affected by the fire will reach more than 300 dunams, most of which are wheat crops.
Ghiath Diop, Mayor of Al-Jaid Municipality, indicated with a similar statement that the fire was dealt with by forming a team at the beginning of the harvest season to intervene in the event of any fire outbreak or any danger that may occur to the area from fires and others, in coordination with the municipality, the extension unit, the party division and the water unit.
Rabie Muhammad, the tractor driver in the village of Al-Jaid, who contributed to the extinguishing operations, confirmed that the fire was huge, and the operations took several hours to put it out as a result of the strong winds that helped in the rapid expansion of the fire and the difficulty of putting it out, pointing out that the concerted efforts of the elements and mechanisms of extinguishing the Authority with the people and members of the army present in The area contributed to encircling the fire and controlling it.
