And the cocktail of thunderstorms, lightning, hail, rain and gusts of wind should not stop this Sunday because the Doubs is still placed on orange vigilance by Météo France.

Saturday's thunderstorms also caused other damage in their path, especially in Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil where a tornado swept away the church tower, or in Alfortville and Ile-de-France, with torn roofs. and flooding.
A new stormy sequence is announced this Sunday, further east of the country this time.
The departments concerned by orange vigilance for thunderstorms are: Bas-Rhin, Vosges, Haut-Rhin, Belfort, Haute-Saône, Haute-Marne, Doubs, Jura, Côte-d'Or, Nièvre, Saône-et-Loire, Allier, Puy-de-Dôme, Loire, Rhône, Ain, Haute-Savoie, Savoie, Isère, Cantal, Haute-Loire, Ardèche and Drôme.

According to Météo France, it is strongly recommended, during the period of vigilance, to take shelter in a solid building, to get away from trees and streams. Indeed, “significant damage is still to be feared locally (…) flooding of cellars can occur very quickly; and some outbreaks of fires can be recorded in the forest following lightning strikes not accompanied by precipitation ”.
