Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro congratulated Iranian President-elect Ibrahim Raisi after his victory in the Iranian presidential elections.
In a tweet to him on Twitter, Maduro expressed his congratulations to the Iranian people and to my president, stressing that "the two countries will continue to work together for peace and to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and brotherhood."
The Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli announced yesterday the final results of the presidential elections that took place in Iran the day before yesterday, and Ibrahim Raisi won with 61.95 percent of the vote.
