Clashes broke out today (Saturday) between residents of Deir al-Assad in the Galilee and Border Police, during which a 43-year-old resident was seriously injured by gunfire, and three policemen were lightly injured. In riots, two police vehicles were set on fire, Amar Assadi, a local journalist, said he met the "frightened" policewomen while hiding in the house of the resident who was shot.
According to Asadi: "When I came there was a serious mess.
I estimate there were eight policemen at the scene, including four policemen and Border Police officers. The policemen hid in a nearby house. They were very frightened. I got into the house, and took them to my car, and drove them to where there was a police station. The event was not supposed to end that way. "
Police arrived at the scene after a suspected shooting was reported during wedding celebrations, and according to 43-year-old Asadi who was hit by gunfire is the groom's uncle.
MDA staff evacuated him to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya while he was anesthetized and resuscitated, where he was detained.
