The police believed that the drug dealers used the batch of Nepalese traditional costumes as a disguise, and transported the drugs to Hong Kong in the costumes, and then stored them in the unit.

According to the police, the drug shipment has a market value of more than 1 million and is believed to be supplied to South Asians in the region. The arrested men and women will be detained overnight for investigation and later charged with drug trafficking.

The police reiterated that trafficking in dangerous drugs is a serious crime. According to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Chapter 134 of the laws of Hong Kong, the maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment. The public are urged not to try the law with their own eyes.
