New fighting between Yemeni government forces and Houthi rebels over the strategic northern town of Marib has left 47 dead, including 16 loyalist fighters, military sources told AFP on Saturday.

They said 16 pro-government fighters were killed, including six officers, on Saturday.
The Houthis, for their part, only very rarely report the victims of the fighting in their ranks.
