The new short story collection, entitled “Dance on the Edge of Destiny,” was the first of the young storyteller Tabarak Jamal Al Hussein’s publications.
The storyteller Al-Hussein combines in some of her stories between the speaker in the form of the ego, so the author is the hero of the story to tell her events according to the situation that affected her and pushed her to write, and between the other who was a reason to write, such as the stories “Time” and “Dance on the Edge of Destiny”.
In other texts, Al-Hussein combines the story and the thought, but in a spontaneous manner, in which the event is transformed in an escalating manner, so that the recipient remains attached to the movement of influential events, such as the stories “The Balance of Jasmine” and “I”.
While the story “The Hearts of Dust” came to differ from others in the narrator’s reincarnation of the heroine, then it reaches the end and changes the style and shows how the event ends and what the topic is, while in the text of “Fragrance of the Past” memories collapse and sadness overwhelms the structure of the story and penetrates into its artistic basis.
The collection issued by Dar Al-Quds for printing, publishing and distribution, which is located in 110 pages of medium size, collected in all its stories between fiction and reality so that the picture is present in most of it.
