Good music, a relaxed atmosphere and good guests: the first evening of the new Bad Wiesse concert series #wiesseerocks was a sense of achievement.

Bad Wiessee

- “Olles Leiwand” is not only the name of the Austrian band that gave the people of

Wiessee

an unforgettable evening on their lake promenade on Friday. “Ois leiwand” in the sense of great and deeply relaxed was the motto for the first #wiesseerocks-life evening. It was visibly enjoyed by around 140 guests who had bought tickets for the Austropop band in advance, and around 50 onlookers who happened to come along and stayed within earshot for a while. But a few also listened in boats from the lake.

It was relaxed everywhere - from the very beginning. The guests who bought their tickets online were already registered in advance. “And people can do luca,” said Mayor Robert Kühn, referring to the app used in the pandemic and with a view to smooth access in compliance with all distance and hygiene regulations. This was also ensured within the 50-meter-long cordoned off section of the lake promenade. The guests could choose between places at tables, deckchairs, which restaurateur Peter Blümer bought especially for #wiesseerocks, or the park benches. These were provided with small tables that could be hung on the backrest so that you could automatically keep your distance and put your drinks down at the same time. Besides wine,Cocktails and long drinks from the Seehüttn flowed beer from the beverage stand of the Tegernsee brewery. Next to it was the Bavaria food truck, which served Alpenburger and other delicacies to go with the music program. The hunger, especially after a summer experience in the community, was great after the months of isolation.

The impressions of this mild evening, when the lake was not only the backdrop, but the bearer of a sense of community that was literally absorbed, obviously tasted all the more intense. Many visitors, half made up of locals and half of vacationers, smiled happily. We were happy to see friends again. There was gossip, laughter and flirting. Basically, life was celebrated - in its most beautiful form, without density stress and this convulsive excitement that something could be missed.

That was what Mayor Kühn, who had brought out his lederhosen for his first welcome at a cultural event since taking office, had wished for #wiesseerocks: It should be an additional and independent cultural offer in small format, independent of Corona, the forest festivals or Public viewing ensures an experience.

The four Austrian musicians from "Olles Leiwand" did theirs on the small mobile stage.

They played their way through hits like “Weusd a Herz hast wia a Bergwerk” (Rainhard Fendrich), “Fürstenfeld” (STS) as well as “Watzmann”, “Zentralfriedhof” and “Skifoan”, all three songs are by Wolfgang Ambros.

With a skilful mixture of pop, rock and ballads, the cover band invited people to sing along.

Thanks to the light show and fog machine, the small stage made it big.

And even if event manager Peter Rie from Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT) emphasized that they wanted to start #wiesseerocks small and careful with this evening - it was a mega experience.
