Miesbach - For three weeks the bicycle is now the means of transport of choice in the Miesbach district - be it in leisure time, on the way to work or in everyday life.
The kick-off event took place on Saturday afternoon in Miesbach.
District Administrator Olaf von Löwis, who actually wanted to ride himself, but was unable to attend, at least gave the go-ahead and sent Miesbach's mayor Gerhard Braunmiller as well as some fellow campaigners on the route who look after city cycling in the district: Marisa Blank (Miesbach Cultural Office), Tim Coldewey (Municipal company Alpenregion Tegernsee Schliersee) as well as mobility manager Mona Dürrschmidt and climate protection manager Antonia Rüede-Passul (district office).

From the town hall, the approximately 14-kilometer path led through the Schopfgraben into the Wies, to Lichtenau and Schweinthal, on to the Gießhof chapel, where a small snack with pretzels from SPD city councilor Florian Perkmann and drinks from the Hopf brewery awaited the over 40 participants.
Then it went back to the city via Haidmühl.
