Berchtesgadener Land / Munich - There was a fatal swimming accident in Bavaria on Sunday, June 20.
As reported by the Upper Bavaria South police, the accident occurred early in the morning at around 7.15 a.m. in the Abtsee near Saaldorf-Surheim.
An 80-year-old woman went into the lake with her husband to bathe, and according to the officials, both swam in different directions.
When the man got back on the bank and couldn't see his wife, he finally called 911.

The integrated control center then alerted the rescue helicopter Christoph 14, the Saaldorf-Surheim fire brigade and local water rescue services, which finally looked for the missing swimmer with a total of around 50 emergency services.
