At about 11pm on Sunday (20th), it was reported that a woman fell into the sea at the Kwun Tong Promenade. Fortunately, an enthusiastic male passerby jogged and immediately jumped into the sea to give aid.
The firefighters arrived at the report and rescued the two people back to the shore. The woman who fell into the sea fell into a coma at the time and was taken to the United Hospital by ambulance; enthusiastic passers-by did not need to be sent to the hospital.
It is understood that the woman was drinking near the pier at the time of the incident. The police stated that she did not have an identity document on her body and was investigating her identity and why she fell into the sea.
