Six lists qualified in the second round?
At the top of the polls, outgoing president Valérie Pécresse (Libres !, ex-LR) tipped over the region in 2015, after seventeen years of management by the socialist Jean-Paul Huchon.
Six years later, she hoped to be confirmed in her post, to do better than six years ago and to make her score a stepping stone towards the presidential horizon.
She's off to a good start. The outgoing president is largely ahead of the first round, with 36.4% of the vote, according to the first Ifop / Fiducial estimates for LCI and TF1. In front of her, the National Gathering invested its n ° 2, the European deputy Jordan Bardella, 25 years old, second with 13.7% of the votes. LREM chose MP Laurent Saint-Martin, fourth at 11.6% of the vote. On the left, it is the ecologist Julien Bayou who takes third place (12.9% of the vote). Follow the list of Audrey Pulvar (10.5%) and that of the LFI candidate Clémentine Autain (10.2%).
In 2015, Valérie Pécresse led the first round with 30.51% of the vote, followed by the socialist Claude Bartolone (25.19%) and the frontist Wallerand de Saint-Just (18.41%).
Far behind, but with a score that did not allow them to hold on in the second round, were the ecologist Emmanuelle Cosse (8.03), the communist Pierre Laurent (6.63) and the sovereignist Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (6.57 ).
The triangular which took place the following Sunday saw the narrow victory of Valérie Pécresse with 43.80% of the vote, against 42.18% for Claude Bartolone.
Wallerand de Saint Just obtained 14.02% of the vote.
