If the Holzkirchen Middle School is to be replaced by a new building, the pupils will have to cram in an interim building during the construction phase.
The building committee has now dealt with the building application.

- A whole school has to move to a transition area, while the Holzkirchen Middle School is being rebuilt on Baumgartenstrasse. The interim school is to be built on a meadow on Baumgartenstrasse around 200 meters southwest of the middle school. A western structure with 69 by 14.53 meters and an eastern structure with 36 by 14.53 meters, each with a wall height of 8.61 meters and a flat roof, as well as a connecting structure (18 by 12.40 meters) with a monopitch roof are planned a height of 2.89 (single storey) to 8.61 meters (three storey). There are also plans for 17 car parking spaces, which can be expanded by five if necessary.
The zoning plan actually provides for a residential area, explained Sandra Weinmann from the building authority. In terms of building law, it is nevertheless possible to erect a school building as an “other project”, provided, among other things, no public interests are affected. Weinmann regards this condition as fulfilled. Access is secured via Baumgartenstrasse. After the completion of the new school building, the area of the interim building will be used again for agriculture. As an applicant, the market town is to be exempted from the requirement of roofing over the bicycle parking spaces. In addition, the fence, at 1.50 meters, will be 40 centimeters higher than planned in the enclosure statute. The committee unanimously approved the motion without further discussion.
