Icking

- "Great joy and even more relief" - this is how the four high school graduates from Rainer-Maria-Rilke-Gymnasium Mara Kalk, Cäcilia Überla (both 1.0), Marc Fehlhaber and Lena Reichert (both 1.1) describe their first feelings after the grade announcement.

"To be honest," says Lena (18), "I even shed a few tears." Of course, families and friends were informed immediately.

They were also happy about the excellent performance of the four. “It's a good feeling,” the high school students agree, “once the pressure is gone.” All four had suspected that there could be a one before the decimal point. “But so good,” says Marc, who graduated from high school with 1.1 almost incredulously, “I didn't think so.” He guessed a 1.3 for himself.

The quartet belongs to the high school graduate class, who has been commuting back and forth between face-to-face, alternating and online classes in the past few weeks and months.

Lena believes that she “benefited from it.

You couldn't go away.

So I had more time to concentrate on school. ”Marc from Wolfratshausen can only agree with that.

“I used to be less disciplined.” However, everyone agrees on one point: “You should work well right from the start.” In general, you should take care to develop a respectful relationship with the teachers.

"If the interpersonal is right here, everything is easier," emphasizes Baierbrunnerin Mara (18).

The three young girls found the Abitur tasks neither easier nor more difficult compared to previous years. "Of course it depends on the subject," says Cäcilia (18). “There were more puzzles, especially in math. It was more difficult for students who weren't that good by nature to see the connection. ”Marc found the Abitur a bit easier“ but that's subjective ”.

In any case, the future plans are clear. Mara would like to start studying biochemistry at the Technical University in the winter semester. “Traveling is too unsafe for me at the moment,” the 18-year-old explains her decision. Cäcilia sees it similarly: She heads for the subjects of sociology and psychology. Lena wants to go on a language trip to Italy. “After that I would like to study literature.” Marc is also drawn to the university. The 17-year-old wants to delve deeper into business informatics. His goal: "to build your own company."

They recommend the following year of high school graduation - Corona or not - constant learning, possibly even creating learning plans and summarizing exams.

Cäcilia: "That sounds like a lot of work now - but the bottom line is that you have less effort later."
