The suffering of the people of the city of Hasaka and its surroundings is increasing due to the continued shortage of drinking water and the delay in pumping it from the Allouk water station due to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from terrorist organizations continuing their violations and attacks on the power lines feeding the station on the one hand and controlling the timing and number of pumping hours on the other hand, threatening a million citizens with thirst.
The Turkish occupier and its mercenaries blatantly attacked the power lines feeding the Allouk water station and diverted most of the electric power to their locations and headquarters in the occupied city of Ras al-Ain, which negatively affected the operating time of the pumps within the station and the weak and delayed pumping, extending the water rationing program to 20 days or more before Pumping takes place only for one sector within the city.
The people whose suffering increases in light of rising temperatures and a near-total power outage depend today on water from tanks and tanks that were installed by the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in the city’s neighborhoods, and they do not meet the need, while the majority of the surface wells that the people dug during the previous period have dried up and water is now secured. It is a heavy burden on them.
Citizen “Saleh Al-Zughair” from the city of Hasaka said, “The only source of drinking water at present is the water of tanks and tanks, which depends on the mood and conscience of the owner of the tank in terms of being fit for drinking, which constitutes a constant concern for the people for fear of the spread of diseases,” noting that “the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries do not care about them in the first place.” The suffering of the people, and we demand the need to find a radical solution to the problem of drinking water, and human rights and humanitarian organizations in the world must move to stop this tragedy.”
For his part, "Ali Al-Jadha'an", a member of the People's Assembly, said that the lack of drinking water has become beyond the capacity of the residents, and the Allouk station is openly harassed by the Turkish occupier without any deterrence. He wondered, "How long will this silence from the international community about crimes against humanity committed by the Turkish occupier against the people of Al-Hasakah? “.
Al-Jad’an noted the government’s measures aimed at relieving the people by approving the establishment of four desalination plants within the center of the city of Hasaka, and called for their increase and speeding up their implementation as a “measurable solution” to secure potable water. He also called on all international parties and parties to work to pressure the occupation and its mercenaries to allow Water workers at the station's management have the only source of drinking water for nearly a million people.

The director of the Water Corporation indicated that “a committee has been formed by the corporation in order to monitor the private tanks that enter the center of the city of Hasaka to ensure their suitability for human consumption and verify their source, in addition to conducting analyzes of wells belonging to the private sector and approved by some organizations to mobilize water and transfer it to reservoirs within the city,” indicating That “the need exceeds the capacity of the tanks to secure water for the entire neighborhoods of the city of Al-Hasakah and its nearby countryside.”
