Krün
- Large-scale deployment of the Isartal rescue services in Krün: On Monday afternoon, the Krün and Mittenwald fire brigades, the Krün mountain rescue service, the Mittenwald Red Cross with emergency doctor, the police and the ADAC helicopter Christoph Murnau moved to Langackerweg at around 2:20 p.m.
A liquid gas tank was supposed to be filled there by a delivery truck.
To do this, the 84-year-old owner opened a manhole cover - and, according to the police, fell around half a meter deep into the manhole without outside involvement.
"Since it had to be assumed at first that a person would have to be rescued from a tank and that liquefied gas could possibly escape, the rescue workers were alerted with a correspondingly high level of force as a precaution," said a police spokesman. The truck driver was able to free the man from his predicament by the time the first rescue workers arrived. For further treatment of his facial injury, the 84-year-old Kruner was flown to a clinic by helicopter. "According to the current state of knowledge, there is no danger to life," the police report concludes.
