A policewoman died of a gunshot in her house in Moreno and her boyfriend is suspected

A shot, a request for help and several suspicions from the Justice.

A local police officer from Moreno 

was found dead this Sunday from a gunshot

in the room of her house and her partner was arrested.

Why?

The investigators do not close their account of the events. 

The victim was identified as Natalia Natividad Guamantes, 24, and the detainee is Cirilo Benjamín García, 22, who this Tuesday must testify in front of the prosecutor Gabriel López. 

The tragic event

occurred this Sunday, around 8 pm

, in a house located on Chuquisaca street, between Diagonal Alejandro Volta and Spain.

Police sources indicated that the neighbors alerted the police when García began shouting for help at the door of the house.

Several minutes before, the neighbors themselves heard the gunshot.

Upon arriving at the scene,

the police found the woman injured and in the arms of her partner

.

Later, the officers found Natalia's service weapon on the bedroom floor and a 9mm caliber sheath on the floor in the middle of a pool of blood.

Meanwhile, the woman was transferred to the Luciano and Mariano de la Vega de Moreno Hospital, although she died before she could be treated by doctors.

Natalia was not treated due to the injuries she received. 

When questioned by the police, García explained that he was in the kitchen of the house when he heard a shot coming from the bedroom he shared with his wife and when he went to the place he found her lying in the middle of a pool of blood.

However, some witnesses testified to the prosecutor of the decentralized Instruction Functional Unit that

there was a violent relationship between the victim and her partner

, for which reports were requested to determine if there was any complaint on the part of Guamantes for

gender violence

.

Given this situation, the prosecutor requested that García be detained while investigating whether it was a possible accident on the part of the young woman when manipulating her regulation weapon or if it was a case of femicide.

"Natalia told me that she was taking off her uniform and the gun fell off when it was shot. The bullet hit the floor and hit her in the vaginal area," García said to the police cell phone that arrived at the scene, according to the account of some witnesses.

Beyond the explanation, the prosecutor recorded her detention until he could take a statement and carry out an autopsy on the officer's body.
