The German gendarme of competition announced Monday the opening of an investigation against the American Apple for "
possible anti-competitive practices
", on the basis of a new law strengthening the powers of action against the digital giants.

After Facebook, Amazon and Google, "
proceedings
" have been "brought
against the technology company Apple under the new antitrust rules applicable to digital groups,
" the German competition authority said in a statement.
The latter has received complaints about Apple's practices regarding the management of its application store and more particularly, on the restrictions on tracing user data, contained in the OS 14.5 update.
The German competition authority also aims to determine whether Apple favors its own applications to the detriment of those developed by third-party publishers.
