Today, the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida began disbursing the first installment of the prices of wheat delivered from farmers for the current season.

The director of the bank, Engineer Naseem Hudaifa, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the exchange operations for the first batch, which include those who delivered their crops to the Umm Al-Zaytoun Mill and the Seed Multiplication Branch, are carried out regardless of the farms’ debt to state institutions, stressing the bank’s readiness to hand over the prices of wheat after receiving lists of farmers’ names from the centers that received Their crops where three boxes were opened in the bank to speed up the exchange.

On the other hand, he pointed out that the bank and its branches in Sweida today took 120 tons of nitrate fertilizer 26 and super phosphate to secure the needs of farmers.

He added that the rented quantities are sold for cash according to the actual need schedule for each crop issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, at a price of 700,000 Syrian pounds per ton for nitrates and 1,112 million pounds for superphosphate.

During the past few days, the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in Sweida and its branches rented 340 tons of various fertilizers and extended their cash sale of irrigated olives until the end of this month.
