Because the state to which the island belongs, Schleswig-Holstein, did not record a single new corona infection and no new death from or with Covid-19 within one day on Sunday.
The number of people who were in a hospital because of Covid-19 remained the same: 37. This was reported by the state registration office in Kiel on its website (as of July 20, 2021).

Berlin - In line with the summer weather, the Corona * situation in Germany is also easing, the RKI has been reporting falling numbers and a falling incidence value for weeks.
And on Monday, June 21, 2021, the Robert Koch Institute even reported comparatively very low figures.
The current message is reminiscent of values from last August.

The first Corona * wave hit Germany and large parts of the world hard and surprisingly in spring 2021, so the summer was all the more relaxed for many parts of the country. Only local outbreaks had overshadowed the infection process. Although the highly contagious alpha variant, which was first discovered in Great Britain, had shaped the infection process in the past few months, the first summer effect seems to be emerging again.
A look at the numbers of the past year shows: the current infection numbers are lower than they have been since August.

The RKI registered 346 new cases, as can be seen from the numbers from Monday morning.
Corona in Germany: Are the current figures meaningful?
Most recently, the number of new infections per day was 436 on August 10, below the threshold of 500.
The interpretation of the numbers could still have a small weak point.
Because on Mondays the number of cases reported by the RKI is usually lower, among other things because fewer tests are carried out on the weekend.
For comparison: a week ago the value was 549 infections.
The RKI gave the seven-day incidence on Monday morning as nationwide 8.6 (previous day: 8.8; previous week: 16.6; previous month: 67.3).
According to the information, ten new deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.
A week ago there were also ten dead.
