Thunderstorms and heavy rain caused the emergency services to have a restless night. For that they can probably rest today. But that doesn't mean that things will stay calm in Bavaria. The German Weather Service (DWD) has already announced new storms. This time, however, it particularly affects Swabia and parts of Upper Bavaria. Severe thunderstorms can occur here during the day. Heavy rain with up to 40 liters per square meter is possible. For this purpose, hailstones with a diameter of up to five centimeters can patter on the earth.
