Honoring the families of the sports martyrs in the national teams of various games

Lattakia Governorate, in cooperation with the General Sports Federation, honored a number of families of sports martyrs in the national teams of various individual and group games in the General Sports Federation.

Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Khader Al-Salem stressed in his speech during the honoring ceremony that the families of the martyrs are the best teachers in this life because great mothers and fathers are the guarantee and the fortified shield to protect the country and that love of the homeland is a culture that only their likes understand, explaining that the governorate when it honors the martyrs of sports, it honors the homeland The people are together because the athletes were messengers of the homeland in its victories in various fields no less important than the battlefields.

Al-Salem directed the salutations of the arrogant and honoring the souls of the righteous martyrs who irrigated with their pure blood the pure soil of the homeland throughout the Syrian geography.

In turn, the President of the General Sports Federation, Firas Maalla, indicated that just as the athletes used to raise the flag of Syria high in international forums, they also did not hesitate to perform their sacred duty to defend the soil of the homeland in the face of terrorism, which tried to tamper with the security of the country and gave many martyrs over the past ten years. Today, 35 families of the martyrs of the national sports teams registered in the General Sports Federation are being honored.

For his part, businessman Mazen Al-Tarazi pointed out that words are powerless in front of the greatness of the act of martyrdom, as there is no tender equivalent to the martyr’s giving to his country, and no tender equivalent to the giving of the family that offers the lives of its children for the soil of their homeland, explaining that the blood of the martyrs is the path that future generations will take and a beacon that guides them Ages passed.

A number of the families of the martyrs expressed their pride in the honorable heroic stances that their sons wrote. Each of them wrote an honorable heroic epic in itself and deserves to be included in the school curricula because of the meanings of heroism, sacrifice and altruism, stressing that their children’s last words to them were recommendations not to mourn their loss and an emphasis on following Life with love, work, participation in rebuilding and preparing for more sacrifices until Syria reaches safety and smiles return to the faces of its children.
