There was really something going on at the garden and courtyard flea market on Saturday in Wolfratshausen.

200 stands attracted a large number of customers willing to buy.

And there was also time for a chat.

Wolfratshausen

- The hot June sun brought to light everything that was cleared out of the stores, basements and wardrobes during the Corona lockdowns.

Instead of cooling off in overcrowded bathing lakes, many Wolfratshausen residents were drawn to the more than 200 stations of the court and garden flea market on Saturday afternoon.

Because the neighborhood attracted not only with bargains, but also with refreshing drinks and shady spots on deck chairs.

For example, the Diehl family on Weidacher Hauptstrasse created a feel-good atmosphere that even the city councilor Sepp Schwarzenbach, who cycled past, could not avoid.

To make the sales pitch easier, there was chilled beer and water.

"Despite the heat, someone even bought cross-country skiing equipment from me," said Iris Diehl.

Across from the Nantwein cemetery, Martina Berendt was happy to see good-humored visitors.

Despite the low number of corona infections, there was a table with a disinfectant dispenser in front of her courtyard.

Rosi Markreiter from Attenham understood these measures: “Finally, flea market and meeting people again: I really missed that,” she admitted.

At 10 a.m., four hours before the official start of the court and garden flea market, Anneliese Linner opened the shop at her courtyard entrance on Sauerlacher Strasse.

“It's just a lot of fun, especially since I don't have to make a living from it,” reveals the 78-year-old.

Regardless of the major event that takes place once a year, the pensioner has been offering books, ceramics and household items in collaboration with friends for many years.

The residents in the Auen- and Karwendelstraße also registered a brisk rush.

City Council youth officer Jennifer Layton took advantage of this fluctuation.

"I actually live on Königsdorfer Strasse, but I prefer to bring my things to Kirsten Braun in Karwendelstrasse," she reported.

One stand after the other lined up over a length of about 100 meters.

“You have nothing to lose, as no fees have to be paid at the courtyard flea market,” explained resident Stefanie Bachmair.

Some families on Grubigsteinstrasse in Farchet recorded really good sales.

"Since the fairytale forest was open, many people came by here," reported Andrea Aslanidis.

Above all, the children's clothing of her neighbor Michaela Kammermayer was very popular.

On the other hand, there were long faces at some locations in Waldram.

Gaby Rüth and her daughter Sabrina Schwenger saw hardly any visitors in a row house settlement on Sudetenstrasse.

"We really tried and advertised, but unfortunately we are a bit out of the way," regretted Rüth.

Ambush operator Assunta Tammelleo and Thorsten Thane from the tiny house association “Simply live together” on Faulhaberstraße were like her.

While some Waldramers folded their tables ahead of time and put them away, there was still a lot of activity on Kolpingplatz.

In front of the memorial site, the bath house association mainly brought books and CDs to women, men and children.

Garden flea market co-organizer Dr.

Ulrike Krischke liked to see that.

"There is sure to be a new edition next year," announced the city councilor.

Above all, she thanked the “Citizens for Citizens” association, which had taken on most of the extensive organization.
