EM 2021: Söder makes it clear - Munich is available as an alternative location
After a meeting of the CDU and CSU, Söder made it clear on Monday, June 21st, in Berlin: If EM games had to be postponed because of the corona situation in England, Munich would be available at any time as an alternative venue.
At least according to the CSU boss: "We would be happy to take another game at any time." Munich is ready for anything and, given the Corona situation, it would be good if UEFA had a "Plan B" in its pocket.
In Great Britain, the corona numbers are rising again significantly because of the delta variant.
But Söder also makes it clear: Before that, "Plan A" must be examined to see how the corona hygiene regulations can be better complied with in London.
This also applies to the remaining European Championship games in the Allianz Arena.
Not all stadium visitors adhered to the mask requirement.

He thinks it is a “very good signal” if the stadium should shine in rainbow colors to send a signal against homophobia.
