From June 27th, city cycling will take place in Neufahrn for the seventh time.
If you want to take part, you can still register.
Neufahrn
- “On the saddle, get set, go!”: That’s the motto again on Sunday, June 27th in Neufahrn.
Because then city cycling will take place there for the seventh time.
Anyone who lives in the community, works there, goes to school or belongs to a local association can cycle for their community until July 17th and thus set an emphasis for more climate protection.
In 2020, almost 200 active people avoided eight tons of CO2
City cycling has been very popular in Neufahrn for years, which is also reflected in last year's cycling balance sheet: Almost 200 active people covered around 51,200 kilometers. The Neufahrner city cyclists rode almost 1.5 times around the earth's equator and avoided no less than eight tons of CO2. This makes it clear that the subject of cycling is becoming more and more important and that even a global pandemic cannot affect this positive development.
A district-wide kick-off event in the form of a relay ride is planned for the first day of city cycling on Sunday, June 27th.
There will be a northern and a southern district route.
The meeting point for the Neufahrner cyclists is at 3 p.m. in front of the town hall.
Shortly afterwards, the relay from Hallbergmoos should also arrive.
After the handover of the baton, the Neufahrner bicycle relay will set off for Freising with Mayor Franz Heilmeier at the head.
The final destination is the Freising District Office.
There, around 4.30 p.m., the southern and northern relay groups will meet and hand over the respective baton.
City hall chief and mobility officer have made a video
Apart from a roadworthy bicycle and a user account, which can be set up in a few minutes at www.stadtradeln.de/neufahrn, nothing else is required for the three-week city cycling campaign. On this website you can also find links to interesting bike tour suggestions in the district as well as to the planned relay trip from Neufahrn to Freising. There is a current video on the subject of city cycling with local chief Franz Heilmeier and the community's mobility officer, Simon Weichwald. The clip is available on the home page of the community website or directly via the link youtu.be/bZPRbkS0vN0. The Neufahrn community wishes all participants "a good time and lots of fun with city cycling 2021".
