The challenge to Holland marks the last match of North Macedonia in the European Championships but above all the last match in the national team of captain Goran Pandev.
Mimmo Criscito, captain of Genoa where Pandev has played in the last five seasons, wanted to greet his partner with a message on Instagram.
"Today last match in the national team for you .. besides being a great player you are a great person, not only Macedonia will applaud you but the whole football world. Great legend @ goranpandev19 I hope to share the dressing room and the pitch next to you again. ", wrote Criscito with the hope of convincing the Macedonian striker, whose contract with Genoa will expire on 30 June next, not to retire after this European. And one of the first to comment on Criscito's words was goalkeeper Mattia Perin who wanted to joke about the age of the two former teammates in the Rossoblu (Pandev will turn 38 in July, Criscito is 34).
"I miss you old folks," wrote Perin, who returned to Juventus after the loan to Genoa in the last year and a half (in the Rossoblu in January 2020).
