Sex photos: 58-year-old in custody

A sex offender from the Erding district, who has already been in prison for this reason, has relapsed.

Now he was arrested again.

Erding / Bamberg - The 58-year-old is in custody.

The public prosecutor's office in Bamberg reports on this success of the investigation together with the Erding criminal police.

The Center for Combating Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse on the Internet (ZKI) is part of her.

58-year-old pretended to be a boy (15)

The 58-year-old is accused of pretending to be 15 and contacting a 13-year-old girl via WhatsApp messenger service, reports Thomas Goger, spokesman for the Bamberg Public Prosecutor's Office.

On a total of nine days in summer 2020, the man asked the child, who is only known to live in the Free State of Bavaria, to take nude photos of himself and send them to him.

He is said to have proceeded extremely perfidiously.

According to the press release, he probably exerted massive pressure on the child and is said to have threatened to kill himself if he did not send any pictures.

In addition, it wasn't his first sexual offense.

“The accused had already sought contact with girls and boys via the Internet in the past.

He was therefore most recently sentenced by the Würzburg Regional Court in 2015 to a total imprisonment of two years and ten months, which he served until October 2017, ”reports Goger.

In April the Kripo Erding started the investigation on behalf of the ZKI.

Among other things, the suspect's apartment was searched.

And so the trail led to the district of Erding: According to Gogers, a social media provider had previously reported that the accused used the news service in March 2021 to upload a child pornographic image.

Very profitable raid

During the raid, the officers seized numerous EDP devices and storage media.

"During the first evaluation, which was carried out immediately, the communication with the girl was discovered," says Goger.

The investigating judge of the Bamberg district court thereupon ordered the Erdinger to be arrested for repetition.

The joint investigations by the ZKI and the Kripo into the suspicion of sexual abuse of children in nine cases and the dissemination of child pornographic content, in particular to identify possible further victims, are ongoing.

Criminal law tightened

Requesting and sending (child) pornographic images is now prosecuted as a criminal offense after the tightening of criminal law.

Most recently, there were repeated trials at the Erding District Court, which ended with suspended sentences.

Because of the criminal record, Erdinger could be tried before the Landshut district court, then he would face a sentence of over four years.
