The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Iran will not return to its commitments to the nuclear agreement unless all embargo measures are canceled and verified, in addition to ensuring that the United States does not withdraw from the agreement in the future after returning to it.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in his weekly press conference today that Iran's policy is to cancel all sanctions included in the nuclear agreement and the Vienna talks, and we will not accept anything less than what was stated in it.
Khatibzadeh stressed that his country's position on the Vienna talks has not changed, and it stresses the need to cancel all embargo measures and verify that in order to return to its commitments in the agreement.
Regarding the sixth round of these talks, Khatibzadeh said that the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Abbas Araqchi, who heads the Iranian delegation to it, returned to Tehran after completing the round for consultations, and said, "We are checking the details and we will not back down in defending the rights of the Iranian people."
Khatibzadeh pointed out that the United States of America, during the term of former President Donald Trump, indicated that it would not take into account the rights of others, and said, "We want to ensure that the United States does not withdraw from the nuclear agreement in the future after returning to it," stressing that "whoever wants to verify Iran's peaceful activities must implement it."
