The new crown pneumonia epidemic in Hong Kong has eased, and the Hospital Authority has further relaxed the visit arrangements. Originally, only 18 non-acute hospitals could be visited. This Friday (25th) Tuen Mun Hospital, North District Hospital, Yan Chai Hospital and North Lantau Hospital will be available for visits. Four new hospital wards resumed visits, namely Tuen Mun Hospital Rehabilitation Building (excluding day ward), North District Hospital 4B Nursing and Rehabilitation Ward, Yan Chai Hospital Comprehensive Service Building-Orthopedic Rehabilitation Ward and Internal Medicine Continuing Nursing Department (Rehabilitation and Convalescence Ward) and the Extended Care Ward of North Lantau Hospital.

The visit arrangements of the original 18 non-acute hospitals have also been expanded, including the main block of Grantham Hospital-Geriatric Medicine Ward, Kowloon Hospital Main Building-Thoracic and Pulmonary Medicine Continuing Care Service Ward, and Caritas Hospital Huai Ming Building-Internal Medicine and Geriatrics /Orthopedic rehabilitation ward and palliative treatment ward.

According to the Hospital Authority, the new measures will begin this Friday (25th). Family members of patients must register for visits through the staff of the ward. The staff concerned will call and contact the hospital in the next few days. Family members will not need to contact the hospital on their own. The ward will arrange family members based on actual operations. Visit once or twice a week.

In order to reduce the risk of infection for patients and employees in the hospital, family members who visit at one time must have a valid negative nucleic acid test certificate within 72 hours; if family members visit regularly, they can be tested every week and complete two doses of COVID-19 vaccination at least 14 Visitors of the day can be exempted from the requirement of virus testing, and the relevant exemption arrangements are also applicable to compassionate or emergency visits.

Fill in the health declaration form in advance before the visit

The HA reminds visitors that they can pre-fill the health declaration form via the "Hospital Visit QR Code" within 24 hours before the visit, and show the QR code issued by the system to the ward staff. Display of the HA website and mobile application "HA Go".

The Hospital Authority reiterated that all visitors entering public hospitals must strictly implement infection control measures, including wearing surgical masks, taking body temperature, and filling out health declaration forms.

In addition, public hospitals all have QR codes for "Travel with peace of mind". The HA recommends that visitors scan the QR codes to keep a complete personal travel record.
