Homs-Sana
Drinking water pumping has returned to normal after a drop in the pumping rate for several days in some areas of Homs as a result of periodic maintenance at the Ain Al-Tanour station.
Engineer Ali Khalil, Projects Implementation Manager at the Public Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Homs, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the transfer of water from the old canal to the new one was started at the end of the main pumping line in the Ras al-Dabaa area, which is 9 km from Ain Tanour station and towards the main tanks that feed The city thus temporarily dispensed with the old canal.
Khalil pointed out that this project contributes to reducing waste rates and will positively affect the feeding of a number of areas, as the conversion process took place through 14 metal gates that allow maneuvering between the two channels, noting that the length of the new channel is 24 km and is made of reinforced concrete.
