The Municipal Council in Douma in the Damascus countryside has completed maintenance and asphalting works on the main street that connects the city with al-Shifunieh and the towns of Eastern Ghouta, while it has begun asphalting the main street that connects Douma, Harasta, Adra al-Omaliah and al-Damir (formerly Aleppo Street).
The head of the council, Eng. Adnan Maeiki, explained in a statement to SANA’s delegate that the maintenance and asphalt works were carried out with the support of the governorate of Damascus countryside and the local community, and all concerned municipal councils participate in it, indicating that the Duma-Al-Shifouniya road is a vital road to be used by the mechanisms of most packaging and export companies of vegetables and fruits in (Street Aleppo (formerly Aleppo) was a main road for all cars coming from Damascus to Harasta and Douma.
On the other hand, Maiky indicated that the rehabilitation of the municipal stadium in the Sports City in Douma and the cultural center has begun, and the destruction left by terrorism has been completed, stressing the completion of the rehabilitation and beautification of the Corniche Street in Douma with the Al-Jarra roundabout, while the optical cable rehabilitation works are still continuing to restore communications to the city.
