Israel will allow the transfer of fuel to the power plant in the Gaza Strip starting tomorrow (Monday) through the Kerem Shalom crossing, the coordinator of government operations in the territories announced this evening.
A security source noted that the fuel transfer mechanism was formulated in coordination with the UN, unlike in the past. Last week, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz met with UN envoy Thor Wonsland and discussed with him, among other things, the issue of coordination.
At the same time, the Arab media reports that Egypt has reached an initial agreement between Israel and Hamas, to gradually restore the conditions in the Gaza Strip as they were before the opening of the "Wall Guard" operation.
Israeli officials have for the time being denied that there is any agreement other than the transfer of fuel.

According to al-Miyadin's report, implementation of the agreement will begin with the importation of Qatari diesel and raw materials into the Gaza Strip, and in addition it was agreed to import Qatari money over the weekend.
Additional concessions will then take effect.
However, Baswa denies sources the report on the entry of Qatari money, and even says that Israel has informed Qataris to supply fuel to the power plant starting tomorrow as previously transmitted.
A statement from the IDF stated that "the decision was made after assessing the security situation on the issue and with the approval of the political echelon, and is conditional on the continuation of maintaining security stability."
