As a symbol, a lucky charm, it is Gérard Depardieu singing Barbara who will be the first artist to perform, on July 1, at the Ideal festival in the King's vegetable garden, in Versailles. It is not a coincidence. Jean-Paul Scarpitta, the artistic director of this very young festival with its abundant programming, has been his friend for more than thirty years. He often stands there, in the shadows, to accompany and support the actor in his artistic projects, to throw flowers at him too.
