Frauenneuharting
- a major alarm of a different kind on Sunday evening: because of around 25 calves that had run away, around 50 firefighters moved towards the Frauenneuhartinger Filze on late Sunday afternoon.
As was learned on site, the animals had run away from a farm near the southern border of the district and made their way into the undergrowth.

The search for the calves in the early evening was correspondingly difficult.
They had spread out in the poorly visible forest.
The Frauenneuharting and Grafing fire brigades had moved in with numerous emergency services, and the Pöring fire brigade (municipality of Zorneding), which specializes in animal rescue, was alerted - a veterinarian also came from there.
Finally, there was a follow-up alarm for the Emmering fire brigade.
In addition, numerous local farmers came to the rescue.
Escaped calves in Frauenneuharting: Hunting scenes in the forest
The firefighters moved into the undergrowth with ropes to block the path and sticks to protect themselves.
They combed the forest and circled the sighted animals by radio contact.
Individual, visibly frightened and exhausted animals let themselves be driven into the corner and onto cattle trailers driven into the forest.
Others have to be freed from a stream bed in which they are stuck, according to the first information on site.
In the early evening, however, no animal injuries were known.
At the time of going to press it was unclear whether narcotics would ultimately have to be used and whether all animals could be captured.
The capture action dragged on into the evening hours.
