The Syrian branch of bakeries in Homs conducted rehabilitation and maintenance works for a number of bakeries in the governorate in order to improve the quality of the loaf, continue the production process, and meet the citizens’ needs for bread.
Bassam Al-Hassan, director of the branch of the Syrian Foundation for Bakeries, told SANA reporter that the rehabilitation and maintenance operations included one of the two production lines in Al-Waer Bakery and another line in Ibn Al-Waleed Bakery, in addition to the restart of the production line for the Shammas bakery, which had been suspended for several months, with a daily capacity of nine tons of flour.
Al-Hassan added that the maintenance of the Al-Masoudia bakery has also been completed and will be put into service soon to meet the needs of the village and the neighboring villages, pointing out that the rehabilitation and maintenance work for the Rastan bakery has also been completed, with a value of about 320 million pounds.
There are 20 bakeries operating in the governorate, affiliated with the Syrian branch of bakeries, with a daily capacity of 195 tons of flour.
