Its author relied on the memory of his late Mujahid father Mutaib al-Jibai and his observations during his participation in the battles of the struggle against the occupation in documenting the events that afflicted Syria since its occupation before French colonialism and the outbreak of the Great Syrian Revolution led by the Mujahid Sultan Pasha al-Atrash, leading to the signing of a treaty in 1936.

During the book signing ceremony hosted by the Palace of Culture in As-Suwayda, the writer and poet Farhan Al-Khatib presented a light on the motives that led the expatriate Al-Jabai to write his book after meeting a seventy man belonging to the Habsburg family that ruled Austria for centuries. An incentive for Al-Jabai to set out in search, using a seven-hour audio recording of his father about the memories of that era and interrupting them with 500 international newspapers and magazines published during that period.

Al-Khatib stressed the importance of the book, especially that it contains more than 400 illustrated documents and the names of more than fifty poets with an extensive explanation of the battles and exploits carried out by fathers and grandfathers and their refusal to compromise on the independence of the nation.

In a speech by Sheikh Akl of the monotheistic Muslim sect, Sheikh Hammoud Al-Hanawi, he praised the historical work that enriches the Arab library and represents the secretariat of transmitting the events of the past, and between its two covers, facts, documents and events are based on objective foundations as made by the heroes, the companions of the Mujahid Sultan Pasha Al-Atrash, from whom we learned patriotism, love of jihad and martyrdom, pointing out that Culture is an embodiment of the conscious elite style, sound and conscious thought, it nourishes minds, preserves minds, and embodies the personality of the nation.

The writer and poet Adel Al-Baini saw that the book was distinguished by its comprehensiveness, generality and richness, and it is rich for reading. He spoke about the facts of the revolution against the French in the mountain and all over the Syrian soil, praising the great effort made by the researcher Al-Jabai.

For his part, the writer and journalist Moeen Al-Amatori, head of the Association of Popular Literature and Friends of Heritage, considered in a statement to SANA reporter that the book is one of the rare books in documentation and blogging, especially as it was based on audio and photo memoirs of the Mujahid al-Jaba’i, the companion of the great Mujahid Sultan Pasha al-Atrash, leader of the Great Syrian Revolution, and documents battles, facts, historical figures and poetry. Popular between its covers.

In turn, a member of the Historical Society in Syria, researcher Ibrahim Judiyeh, pointed out that the researcher presented a comprehensive description in which he talks in a major documentary about more than a pivotal event that Syria experienced, giving it an Arab and international dimension.
