From the center of old Damascus and from the expanse of the unique historical monument... Qasr al-Azm.. The Syrian Women's Oriental Takht Ensemble launched the "Long Live Music" festival, organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in conjunction with the international celebrations of the International Day of Music.

Every year and periodically, on the 21st of June, a package of festivals to celebrate the International Day of Music is held in more than 123 countries around the world.

The Damascene evening revived a group of traditional and tarab songs, in which singers Ahlam Deeb and Rayan Jarira participated with the female oriental Takht musicians on the law Dima Mawazini and the oud Heba Odeh and the violin Razan Qassar and the double bass Laila Saleh and Khasab Khaled on the slave instrument and Mervat Rafe on the tambourine and on the viola Rama Al-Barsha .

The evening program was distinguished by its diversity between instrumental and lyrical pieces, including the songs “Ya Musafir Wahdak”, “All This Was Les”, “I Promise You” and “Ya Bida Al-Ward” and among the mechanical pieces are Amal and Al-Farabi’s voice in the spirit of a woman composed by Dima Mawazini, to conclude the evening with a heritage compass.

The Syrian Women’s Oriental Takht Ensemble was founded on the ninth of April 2003 by a group of female academic musicians, graduates and students of the Higher Institute of Music, and worked on presenting classical musical instruments, instrumental and lyrical, and reviving the Syrian and Arab musical heritage in all its forms and patterns. It presented many concerts inside and outside Syria and on various occasions.

Tomorrow, visitors to Al-Azm Palace will meet with the Alwan Choir, under the supervision of Maestro Hossam El Din Primo, at eight in the evening.
