A cyclist fell on Sunday on the connecting road from the B13 in the direction of Babenberg (market town of Holzkirchen) and was seriously injured.
The 59-year-old from Oberhaching was brought to the hospital by the rescue helicopter.
According to the police report, the Oberhachinger was on his Steppenwolf bike on a connecting road from the B13 near Leithen in the direction of Babenberg northeast of the Kirchsee at around 12.55 p.m.
Cyclist had braked on a steep slope
Because of the steep gradient, he came at a very high speed.
He braked himself with the front brake and fell without any other road user being involved.
The man suffered a head injury and broken ribs in the fall.
The 59-year-old was flown to the Murnau Clinic by rescue helicopter.
According to the emergency doctor, there was no danger to life, reports the police.
