According to the report about eleven-year-old Josefine Nadler from Dachau, who was loudly exposed and warned by an inspector during a ticket inspection on the bus because she had stamped a wrong ticket, the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund GmbH (MVV) is trying to get the To smooth the waves.

In a conversation, an MVV spokeswoman apologized to the girl and his grandmother Sonja Kienast.

The eleven-year-old Josefine Nadler presented a correctly stamped stripe card during the inspection - but it was the wrong one.

That was why she had been loudly exposed by an inspector.

The girl was crying in the full bus.

A few days earlier, a bus driver from Dachau had sold Josefine the U21 stripe ticket, which only 15 to 21 year-olds are allowed to use. That means: she drove black. The inspector could have pointed out the mistake to the schoolgirl and warned her, but he reprimanded her in the full 720 bus and handed her a fine of 60 euros. He also said to Josefine that she should "learn to read", said Josefine, who burst into tears. Josefine's grandmother, Sonja Kienast, then sought help from the Dachau municipal utilities.

Plant manager Paul Fottner promised to take care of the case. At first he had stated that it was no longer possible to trace where and when the ticket was bought - but last Friday he said that he had been "misunderstood". Because the ticket clearly shows which bus driver sold the ticket and when. Nevertheless, there is nothing he can do now, assured Paul Fottner again. He could only make a recommendation to the MVV, but not influence any decisions.

Franziska Hartmann, press spokeswoman for the MVV, confirmed that Josefine's case actually involved fare dodging, but there are always “individual decisions”. And children in particular should always be handled with “kid gloves”, says Hartmann. "We do not want such incidents, we are not behind them, we are sorry," assures the press spokeswoman. She explains that the inspectors are not employed directly by the MVV, but that this service has been outsourced for a long time. Security companies take on this job for the MVV.

After consulting with the chief inspector, Hartmann says that this employee is actually known as a “quiet person”. He may have "spoken a little louder" in the fully occupied bus. He doesn't want to know anything about the fact that he should have grumbled at Josefine to finally learn to read in order to be able to recognize which ticket she uses on the bus. It was a "completely normal complaint".

The fact is: the buyer of a ticket has to check the card. The MVV also demands this from underage children, explains press spokeswoman Hartmann. Josefine should also have noticed that she paid less for the ticket than last time. Because the U21 strip ticket costs only nine euros. Otherwise Josefine always pays 14.60 euros. Franziska Hartmann, however, emphasizes once again that the inspectors certainly have leeway and that there are “individual decisions”.

In a personal conversation, Hartmann apologized several times to Sonja Kienast and her granddaughter Josefine.

She advises the Kienast family to appeal and not pay the 60 euros for the time being.

Sonja Kienast still wants to transfer the money at the beginning of the week.

She no longer has a nerve and doesn't want to fight any more.

“It's all getting too much for me,” says the 73-year-old, who has fought like a lioness for her granddaughter up to now, but now just wants to relax.

Perhaps District Administrator Stefan Löwl can also ensure that the matter is dealt with unbureaucratically: Löwl raised the case at the MVV shareholders' meeting.

Somebody from the management would contact Sonja Kienast and clarify the case, promised Löwl.
