Emmanuel Macron will, this Monday morning, visit the Renault site in Douai.
The announcement justifying the President of the Republic's trip does not concern Renault directly, but its partner in the batteries, the Chinese Envision.
The latter will invest nearly 2 billion euros to create a gigafactory that will employ 2,500 people!

Envision founder and CEO Lei Zhang is also in France for the Choose France summit.
The group he founded is today the world number five in static and vehicle batteries.

Hence the ambitions of the Chinese leader.
