Mars is still largely unexplored.
To change that, several missions are currently underway on the red planet.
China has now published new images of its Mars probe.
Beijing - China has published new images from its Mars probe "Tianwen-1".
The photos and videos published by the National Space Agency show, among other things, how the probe opened its parachute when it landed on May 15.
One of the videos also shows the “Zhurong” rover on its exploration drive on the surface of Mars.
As the space agency announced on Sunday, the rover had already been in use for 42 days on Mars and covered a distance of 236 meters.
At 24 hours and 40 minutes, a day on Mars is only slightly longer than on Earth.
"Tianwen-1", the first Chinese Mars probe, broke from Earth last July and reached Mars orbit in February.
China is pushing ahead with its ambitious space program.
After several successful flights to the moon, the People's Republic began building its own space station at the end of April.
