In a fatal car accident in Sheung Shui, the driver fell out of the car and died tragically.
At 6:18 am today (28th), when the red rainstorm warning was in effect, an unloaded tourist bus was driving along the Castle Peak Road-Kutung section towards Sheung Shui and approaching the North District Equestrian Competition Memorial Garden. Out of control, he crossed the opposite traffic lane and shoveled the pavement, rushed into the grass and hit a tree, and then overturned. The driver fell out of the car and suffered multiple injuries.
Sources at the scene stated that the 33-year-old driver of Xie Tour Bus was injured and climbed out of the car, but fell into a coma after leaving the car.
The Special Investigation Team of the Transport Department of the New Territories North Region is investigating the case.
