The implementation rate of the Hama Salamiyah Road project has reached more than 85 percent, and it will be put into service during the next few period with the escalation of work.
Engineer Khader Fatoum, director of the branch of the Public Corporation for Road Transport, said in a statement to SANA reporter that a new plan has been prepared that simulates working conditions with the aim of completing the construction work of the remaining 7 kilometers of the road in preparation for putting it into service as soon as possible, in order to avoid recurring traffic accidents that the road usually witnesses, noting that During the last period, obstacles were removed at a distance of 3 km near the Al-Jajiyah site in the eastern countryside of Hama, with the implementation of two main layers of paving to facilitate traffic for road users.
For his part, Eng. Ehab Al-Qatrib, branch manager of the General Company for Roads and Bridges, the implementing agency of the project, said in a similar statement that the construction works of the road are currently focused on completing a distance of 3 km out of 7 km as a first stage of the road by implementing road connections, making asphalt shirts and preparing the ramps for crossing points.
Al-Qatrib noted the importance of the Hama-Salmiya Road axis, as it represents a vital transportation artery linking the governorate of Hama and the city of Salamiyah, in addition to a number of other governorates such as Aleppo, Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, indicating that the workshops returned to work at a high rate after stopping for several months to continue implementing this important project.
