Montpellier Danse, the festival of all possibilities

Parisian or regional troops, performances, choreography with acrobats or video: the event continues to reveal talents and stir up revolutions.


Montpellier Danse is 41 years old.

The Batsheva Dance Company, with a new piece by its brilliant choreographer Ohad Naharin, was to mark the opening of this edition.

The company has been banned from travel due to the pandemic.

It was therefore a piece by choreographer Arkadi Zaides, followed by the creation of Rachid Ouramdane, new director of the Théâtre de Chaillot in Paris, who opened the festival.
