New building should be finished in summer
A three-story new building for nine groups is being built on Ganghoferstraße, which was originally supposed to be completed this summer.
There was already a construction delay with the first tender for the timber construction, because the offers were well above the cost estimate.
A new tender followed, as reported, the cost estimate was exceeded again, but the city council awarded an order.
However, the work for the first and second construction phase was not carried out as agreed.
The city is currently legally examining the reasons for this.
Delivery problems with building materials
In the meantime, however, all contracts have been awarded, according to the town hall.
As long as there are no delays due to delivery problems with the construction material, all companies involved in the construction can work seamlessly hand in hand.
The interior work is currently underway in the first construction phase.
However, there are currently delivery difficulties for building materials such as dry screed, fiber cement boards and materials for impact sound insulation.

The second construction phase is scheduled to start on July 19. The city is in weekly contact with the timber builder, city spokesman Steven Ahlrep informs, in order to secure the appointment. According to the company, the start date can be kept, there are no problems with the wood procurement, "because the material is already stored". The completion of the second construction phase is planned for September 14th. This is followed by roofing work and the completion of the facade. Interior work is to begin at the end of September, and paths and outdoor facilities are to be created. According to the city, it will be the turn of the play areas in March 2022.
