Damascus Governorate opened today the Citizen Service Center in Dummar (Al-Sham Al-Jadida) project after its rehabilitation and expansion.
The center, which covers an area of 220 square meters, includes 15 front offices, 3 electronic archiving offices, 3 banking niches belonging to the Commercial Bank of Syria and a reception hall.
The center currently provides civil and judicial registry services, a non-employee document, registration and documentation of residential lease contracts, services of the Real Estate Interests Directorate and the Directorate of the Temporary Register.
In a press statement following the opening between the Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel Al-Olabi, that the rehabilitation of the center comes within the governorate’s plan to expand citizen service centers and develop the reality of their work to facilitate citizens’ affairs and speed up the completion of their transactions, explaining that the center works within the electronic services system that enables citizens to request service and pay its fees through the electronic portal Determine the location of receiving it from any center in Damascus, such as the New Sham Center, or through the Syrian Postal Corporation, to any address it wants in Damascus.
In turn, Director of Citizen Service Centers in the governorate, Eng. Louay Alloush, indicated that the expansion of the center was accomplished in accordance with the standards set for the centers, including increasing the number of front offices, modern computer equipment, fast laser networks, banking services, electronic archiving, and a spacious waiting room.
SANA monitored the opinions of a number of beneficiaries of the center's services, as they expressed their satisfaction with the presence of a center in the region, as it saves them time and effort in obtaining official papers and documents, noting that the re-expansion of the center will contribute to reducing overcrowding significantly in addition to the accuracy, organization and speed in completing their documents.
