Thunderstorms continue to cause damage in France during this month of June.
During the night from Sunday to Monday, a mudslide occurred in the Puy-de-Dôme, reports the daily La Montagne.
It was the commune of Sauvagnat-Sainte-Marthe that was affected.
It is located south of Clermont-Ferrand, near Issoire.
Météo France specifies that this is an area where up to 80 mm of water poured out in just 6 hours, or about 80 liters per square meter.

The Mountain specifies that the mudslide occurred in particular along the departmental road 712. No casualties are to be deplored, but the damage is important in places.
The water has entered some homes, according to France Bleu.
Roofs were torn off, cellars were flooded.
The water was able to rise up to 1.50 m.
Dozens of cars were washed away, according to LCI.
Firefighters intervened several dozen times throughout the department.
Issoire, Cournon-d'Auvergne, Vertaizon and Lezoux are the areas most affected.

This Monday, new thunderstorms are expected in this area. Puy-de-Dôme is one of the departments in orange vigilance (level 3 out of 4) because of thunderstorms. Météo France has mentioned a risk of "violent phenomenon".
