Homs-Sana
Poems from vertical poetry that dealt with human and societal issues were the focus of the recently published Diwan “Clarity of the Sun” by the poet Ghassan Dalloul.
The Diwan is Dalloul’s second after his first work “roses, love and beauty.” The cultural center in Homs hosted a signing ceremony in the presence of writers and those interested in cultural affairs, which included 160 pages and 34 poems of various topics.
In a statement to SANA, Ben Dalloul said that his new book is divided into bundles of the colors of the solar spectrum, some of which indicate flirtation and the other of conscience, homeland, society and people's concerns.
The poet Maymoona Al-Ali stopped at the topics that the poet Dalloul touched upon in his poetry, starting with his own opinion on poetry and criticism and ending with love and war and their outcomes, indicating that the poet touched on simple human and societal issues without falling into the pitfall of systems and declarative and expressed his opinion on the most prominent problem in the world of the poem, which is The duality of form and content, as evidenced in his poem “What a Beautiful Poetry.”
The writer, Dr. Nazih Badour, found during his critical reading of the book “Crystal of the Sun” that the poet expresses himself in soft words that flow like a stream of fresh water, pointing out that reviewing the titles of his poems makes us write another modernist poem.
The poet Hanan Rostom considered that the poet reached his inner peace through his philosophy of life, his humanity and the clarity of his thoughts, referring to the beautiful poetic language of the Diwan and its elegant words.
