The Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned the US air aggression that targeted Iraqi sites in Anbar Governorate, near the border with Syria.
Alsumaria News quoted the ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, as saying in a statement today, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renews its total rejection of Iraq being a party to any conflict or confrontation to settle scores on its territory, which is an aggression and a violation of national sovereignty and a clear departure from international norms and covenants.
Earlier today, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, condemned the US air aggression on sites inside Iraqi territory, stressing that it constitutes a blatant and unacceptable violation of the country's sovereignty.
