They recaptured two of the prisoners who fled from the Piñero prison: they were in the trunk of a car

The Santa Fe Police arrested on Monday two of the prisoners who had escaped this Sunday from the Piñero jail.

Both

were hidden in the trunk of a car

that the authorities intercepted in Pérez, a town located on the southwestern border of Rosario.

There are six escaped inmates and they are investigating the death of a person in the shooting that took place in the prison.

Agents of the provincial security forces arrested Sergio Martín Cañete and Joel Isaías Rojas during an operation that began shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The 35 and 25-year-old inmates, respectively, 

were hiding in the trunk of a Honda Civic

that the troops began to follow in the town of Soldini, almost 10 kilometers north of Penitentiary Unit 11.

The persecution that began on Provincial Route 14 ended in Cabín 9, a neighborhood that crosses the border between Pérez and Rosario.

Police determined that a woman was behind the wheel of the car in which the fugitives had been hiding.

Sergio Martín Cañete (35) escaped from the Piñero prison and was recaptured.

The driver of the car was arrested and a second accomplice was also arrested.

In addition, during the procedure at dawn in El Aguaribay at 100 they

kidnapped three firearms and cell phones

Without official data on the plan executed to guarantee the escape, sources from the Government of Santa Fe limited themselves to confirming this Sunday that there was an external aggression in Piñero.

Joel Isaías Rojas (25) escaped from the Piñero jail and was recaptured.

Alejandro Andrés Candia was part of a group of nine prisoners who fled during a transfer on the Rosario-Santa Fe highway near Granadero Baigorria.
